Happy J. Cole Day!

March 1st marked J. Cole day celebrated in his home town, Fayetteville, NC. The event is part of Dreamville Weekend (named after his record label that he started when he was in college). This weekend consists of guest speaking arrangements and a concert by none other than J. Cole himself. He also released a song in honor of J. Cole Day called "Visionz of Home". Check it out:

Joakim Noah

This post is solely dedicated to Joakim Noah. Why Joakim Noah? Because he's a goof.

First, and probably most embarrassing, is his celebration dance after winning a national championship at Florida.

Also, he's not a big fan of Kevin Garnett, his is also an interesting player. He also called him ugly... Yes, Joakim Noah called someone else ugly.

And the classic, Sh** Joakim Noah says:

Finally Back

Sorry about not updating... I've just been so bamboozled with school work. Yes, bamboozled.

I'm thinking about changing up the way I post to posting more frequently, but shorter posts about one topic rather than one long post about three different topics. Let me know what you think, but for now, I'm sticking to the usual.

Check out this video (Thanks Naahid) of a grandma singing "Baby" by Justin Bieber. Some would say she's better than he is, but I don't think he's that bad. I just can't listen to him haha.

Also I finally listened to WZRD in its entirety and let's just say I was let down. It has a few good songs, but it's just not my type. I would give it a 2/5. Also speaking of Cudder, he tweeted that Man On The Moon: 3 will be held til 2014. :( I don't know if I can wait that long for some original Cudi.

And here are two Wiz Khalifa joints that are going to be featured in Taylor Allderdice which is releasing on March 13th.

All-Star Weekend Recap

I already showed y'all Friday's action, so here's Saturday and Sunday's.

Saturday:

Haier Shooting Stars: Team New York

Skills Challenge: Tony Parker

3-Point Contest: Kevin Love

Dunk Contest: Jeremy Evans

Sunday:

The 61st All-Star game was held and it was an exciting one. The West stormed out early and took a big lead, but the East cut the lead at the end the game to come back. Lebron James had a key turnover on the last possession of the game to give the East a change to either tie or take the lead... So expect him to hear an ear full from fans and haters. Kevin Durant won the MVP award, while Kobe passed Michael Jordan for most points scored in All-Star history.

Check out the highlights

All-Star Weekend Update

Sorry I haven't been updating... I've been so busy.

Let's start with Friday. Friday kicked off with the Celebrity Game and my main man Kevin Hart came to PLAY. Although he managed to get ejected from the game, the fans voted him to be MVP, but he decided to share it with Arne Duncan who actually deserved it because of his great play. Here's the highlights:

MVP Kevin Hart in a dunk contest with a kid

MVP Kevin Hart celebrating his award

Rappers J Cole and Common having fun

Arte Duncan dishing out an assist

Penny Hardaway rocking the Galaxy Foams and his special edition foams

After that was the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge. Kyrie Irving won the MVP and it was well deserved. He finished the game 8-8 from 3-point range racking up 34 points. Ricky Rubio and Blake Griffin also gave us a few highlight plays.

Blake Griffin throwing it down with authority

Kemba Walker scooooooping it in

MVP Kyrie Irving

Linsanity with the nice reverse

I'll post videos up for today's events tomorrow, but here are the results:
